Magurski National Park
30.01.09

The Magurski National Park is located in the central - representative part of the Beskid Niski mountain range - the biggest mezoregion of Polish Carpathians. In its area, as in the whole Beskid Niski, only two climatic levels do occur - moderately warm and moderately cold levels.

767 species of vascular plants occur in the park's area. The Magurski National Park's flora has a transitional character, between the Eastern and Western Carpathians. 59 species are protected by law.

The park is one of the most important shelters for the forest animals. Almost none mountain elements can be noticed here, which is caused by the inconsiderable height of Beskid
