Lying in the north-western part of Poland, bordering on Germany, and on Denmark and Sweden (the sea border), the West Pomeranian Voivodeship is one of the most beautiful and attractive tourist regions of our country. It has also the best climatic conditions by the Baltic sea.

 

The landscape consists of hundreds of kilometres of sea-shore, wide beaches, thousands of clean lakes, moraines and forests.

 

The tourist attraction are also varied. Nature lovers may visit the Wolinski or Drawienski National Parks. Perfect conditions for every form of active tourism prevail here, from water-ski through sailing, hiking and bicycle trips, golf, rowing, and many more. The cultural events are also very attractive, concerts and festivals, where one can see many movie stars, fairs, full of various attraction are only few of the possibilities for entertainment seekers.

 

Health resorts in Kamien Pomorski, Kolobrzeg, Polczyn Zdroj and Swinoujscie allow for connecting the rest with health and fitness improvement.

 

The West Pomerania is a perfect place for the water-rest lovers. Clean water allow for sea bathing. Qualified life-guards, care for the tourists' safety. The image is fulfiled with such attractions as water slides, jet-boats hire and many more. The social life prospers in big resorts - cafes, discos, popular bands' concerts and festivals.

 

Thousands of hotels and guest houses, with well-developed gastronomy base, constantly wait for the tourist.

 

In the Pojezierze Drawskie, Mysliborskie and Waleckie area, as many as 380 lakes are situated. These are perfect places for anglers, as numerous species of fish inhabit lakes, rivers and streams. It is also a paradise for birds observers. Many species of water and swamp birds live here: grebes, seagulls, moorhens. mute and whooper swans, herons, wild ducks, geese, storks, cranes and cormorants.
